Contact Zones: Azov and Black Seas. International Exchange Programme

Golubitskoe Art Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of Contact Zones: Azov and Black Seas, a new international residential exchange programme in Taman that will become a new chapter in the development of the Contact Zones: Far East, which was initiated by the Zarya Center for Contemporary Art in Vladivostok in 2016 and focused on professional exchange with Asia-Pacific cultural institutions in the field of contemporary art. The new programme will partner with the neighbouring countries of the Azov-Black Sea region: Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine.

The Contact Zones programme aims to foster cultural exchange and international collaboration and to draw the attention of artists and researchers to the region, its historical context and art. As part of this programme, participants from partner residencies come to Golubitskoe Art Residency, while Russian artists and curators travel to residencies overseas. One can take part in the residency once assigned by a partner institution or through submitting an application to an open call.

Since 2016 the Contact Zones: Far East programme has facilitated the exchange of artists, curators and researchers with HOW Art Museum (Shanghai), Para Site (Hong Kong), MNG 360° (Ulaanbaatar), Points Center for Contemporary Art (Kunshan), Paradise (Tokyo).
